Macon, Ga., native Jason Aldean returned to his hometown on Aug. 11 to headline his second annual Concert for the Kids.
Jason, with the help of opener Luke Combs, treated the sold-out crowd to a night of music and helped raise $702,209 for the development of Macon’s new Children’s Hospital. Combined with last year’s effort, Jason has now raised more than $1.2 million for the construction of the region’s only dedicated pediatric hospital.
After spending the day with patients and families at the current facility, Jason was honored by having a a street at the Children’s Hospital renamed Jason Aldean Way.
“Macon will always be my roots,” said Jason. “When I moved away to chase music, all I wanted to do was make my family and hometown proud. But, I’m just a singer. I’m honored to be able to do do what I do to help raise money, but the doctors and staff are the heroes and are changing these kids lives.”
